We’ve gone from looking at social media as a phenomenon that we tackle independently to a development which is core to every aspect of marketing and more critically, purchase and the visitor experience.

In this workshop we’re going to bring you up-to-date on how the social space has evolved and how we need to embrace the various communities who shape the identity of your brand, the perception of your experience and the booking decision of your visitors.

This workshop will look first of all at your presence in social, getting right up to date with the developments in social, Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat, where workshop leaders will give practical step-by-step tips on how to use these platforms.

We’ll later look at trends in real time marketing and what this means for you, both engaging with stories in real time and sharing your own. Finally we’ll look at that all important question of reputation and how the sum of opinions of your visitors equates to your own reputation online. Here you’ll get clear step-by-step tips on how to manage reputation properly across the key channels that matter most.

The workshop will be divided into three segments, you are welcome to join any one or all three:

  1. 09:00 – 11:30: Mastering Your Social Presence

    Getting Started with Snapchat and Instagram Stories (Jessica Riches)

    Fra Facebook og Instagram får du hands-on kunnskap om hvordan målrette, engasjere og konvertere forbrukere. Fra å velge engasjerende innhold, til å velge det rette annonseformatet til å målrette mot spesielle kundegrupper.
    Sliter du med å se hvordan du kan bruke Snapchat for din bedrift? Da kan Jessica gi deg en innføring i hva, hvorfor og hvordan.  
  2. 11:45 – 13:00: Live Audiences / Live Content / Live Engagement

    Når vi er på reise ønsker vi å orientere oss i hva som skjer rundt oss der og da. Hvordan kan vi kommunisere med de som besøker nettopp vår destinasjon eller vår bedrift MENS de er på sitt mest engasjerte i oss? Martine fra VisitOslo deler også erfaringene deres fra hvordan de jobbet under X Games i Oslo, samt hvordan de utnytter fenomener som Pokemon GO etc.  
  3. 14:00 – 15:30: Mastering Online Reputation

    Hva gjør du «when shit hits the fan»? For det kan det nemlig gjøre med dagens teknologi og forbrukermakt. Tidligere ansatt i TripAdvisor, Victoria (Tori), vil guide oss stødig inn i TripAdvisors muligheter og fallgruver. Hovedfokus på overnattingsbedrifter.    

Each session will have key steps, learnings and workbook material to guide your thinking. We will also share case studies and best in class examples to get your mind thinking.
