Ingrid has more than 23 years of experience from all parts of the travel and tourism industry, has worked with marketing, branding and communication for more than 16 years, of which 9 for the Norwegian Tourist board.
Marianne has a Bachelor marketing degree from BI and Master of management from BI. About 20 years experience from marketing and product development, finance, insurance and bank. Vice president in DnB from 2000-2007, Director of Marketing and communications in NSB from 2007-2011, Director of NSB Riks from 2011-2016 and today Executive Vice president of Travel & Leisure in NSB.
William is a travel, destination marketing expert and social media junky with more than 20 years digital experience. He has recently left South African Tourism after 7 years as the Global Manager: Digital.
William was responsible for all the digital, online and social activities for South African Tourism across the various territories and markets, working with multiple agencies in various time zones and geographic regions, and in different languages.
William grew the digital marketing budget from less than 4% when he started, to more than 35% of the total marketing budget in less than 7 years. He also led a team of more than 11 staff becoming the second largest business unit in the business.
The online marketing and digital work that South African Tourism has done was featured in the UNWTO Marketing Handbook which was a case study which demonstrated how TripAdvisor and South African Tourism innovated new platforms and online marketing opportunities in emerging markets.
The widely acclaimed #MeetSouthAfrica campaign was also featured globally as a key case study which demonstrated the massive ROI and content generation opportunities achieved through the travel blogger and digital influencers initiatives used to promote South Africa online and in the social spaces.
William last left South African Tourism to pursue opportunities in the private sector and his new digital strategy agency Man&Machine Solutions has been working with high-end luxury travel and hospitality clients, brands and financial services since starting up in October 2015. Recently Man&Machine has merged with Fogg Experiential Design to form one of the most formidable digital agencies in Africa, with specific tourism and travel expertise having worked with South African Tourism, Cape Town Tourism, WESGRO and properties like The One&Only in the travel and hospitality industries.
William has been a regular contributor as a speaker and facilitator at Digital Tourism Think Tank events over the last 5 years and is one of the DTTT Experts.
Reidar is CEO of Kristiansand Dyrepark and will give us insight on how they, based on beacons technology, are looking into how customers are moving around in the park and how they use these data to create better experiences for the customers and more value for the park.
Erik is a consultant working with digital strategies – especially within the areas of customer journey, omnichannel and big data. He is leading a three year research project called INSITE, exploring new opportunities with collecting, storing, modelling, analyzing, visualizing, and utilizing big heterogenous data in the travel & turism industry.
Tim has been with Facebook for the past five years, and recently transitioned back from the German eCommerce vertical to his home country Norway to be a part of the Norwegian team in Oslo. In his presentation Tim will talk about how travel marketers can use Facebook and Instagram to grow their business.
Former journalist and magazine editor, Sveinn Birkir has been creating content and managing websites and social media projects for Promote Iceland since 2011. Sveinn Birkir spends a lot of his time with a trusted laptop called Lenny, and has made several unsuccessful attempts to give up coffee.

Danish is an investor, entrepreneur, strategist and father. He is the founder of hybrid consulting boutique Xisché & Co. in Dubai and New York. Danish has been one of the youngest successful start-up entrepreneurs in the Middle East. After dropping out of 3 different universities, he founded new media firm in 2001 at age nineteen, later successfully exiting in 2004. Fuelled by his personal philosophy of ‘hybrid thinking,’ he founded category-busting boutique consulting firm Xisché & Co. in Dubai and New York. Danish has spent fourteen years advising, building, and managing ventures for clients such as the UAE Prime Minister’s Office, Government of Dubai, Dubai Holding, DIFC, Qatar World Cup, BMW & Giorgio Armani.
Born in Libya, raised in Dubai, Danish is passionate about design, culture, technology, and entrepreneurship. He is an exhibiting artist, and a regular speaker at design and entrepreneurship events. He is a keynote speaker and visiting lecturer, and regularly blogs on topics including design thinking, entrepreneurship and business culture. When he’s not creating imaginary worlds with his sons, Danish’s idea of ‘time-off’ is playing angel investor and mentor to budding local startups in the UAE.
He is Chairman of investment boutique Xisché Holdings, a privately-held group that includes an emerging technology firm, a design consultancy and a recently launched Dubai-based startup incubator.
